In January–July 2016 volume of foreign currency traded on KASE decreased by 45.6 % and made up KZT21.8 trln (USD62.5 bn)

/KASE, August 4, 2016/ – In January–July 2016 the volume of foreign currencies traded on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swaps transactions, reached KZT21,831.6 bn (equivalent to USD62,486.1 mln) decreasing by 45.6 % against the same period of 2015 (by 71.2 % in dollar terms). In comparison with the previous seven-month period (June–December 2015) the volume of trades decreased by 34.1 % (by 53.4 % in dollar terms).
