In January–June 2016 volume of foreign currency traded on KASE decreased by 46.8 % and made up KZT19.3 trln (USD55.2 bn)

/KASE, July 5, 2016/ – In January–June 2016 the volume of foreign currencies traded on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swaps transactions, reached KZT19,326.3 bn (equivalent to USD55,182.2 mln) decreasing by 46.8 % against the same period of 2015 (by 71.9 % in dollar terms). In comparison with the previous six-month period (July–December 2015) the volume of trades decreased by 35.3 % (by 52.6 % in dollar terms).
