Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan to pay off twelfth issue of NSB

/IRBIS, Apr 27, 01/ - Today the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan repays national savings bonds of the 12th issue (KZ4CL2704A12, KZT170 mln, Apr 27, 00 - Apr 27, 01) and pay off the last coupon on them at 6.55% APR. Now, only the bonds of the 13th issue will remain in circulation (KZ4CL2308A12, KZT150 mln, Aug 24, 00 - Aug 23, 01), whose coupon is 6.38% APR now. As far as the agency IRBIS informed, so far, the Ministry of Finance does not plan new bond issues of this kind. NSB first appeared on the Kazakhstani market on Sept 26, 96. These coupon bonds at KZT1,000 each had floating rate tied to the yields of MEKKAM-3 and paid out quarterly. Total of 12 issues (issue 9 was cancelled) were conducted.
