In January–May 2016 volume of foreign currency traded on KASE decreased by 50.1 % and made up KZT16.5 trln (USD46.8 bn)

/KASE, June 7, 2016/ – In January–May 2016 the volume of foreign currencies traded on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swaps transactions, reached KZT16,508.8 bn (equivalent to USD46,819.5 mln) and decreased by 50.1 % against the same period of 2015 (by 73.8 % in dollar terms). In comparison with the previous five month period (August–December 2015) the volume of trades decreased by 36.7 % (by 51.3 % in dollar terms).
