KazTransOil to supply 50,000 tons of oil through Makhachkala-Novorossiisk

/IRBIS, Apr 11, 01/ - REUTERS informs that Kazakhstani national oil
transportation company KazTransOil plans to supply 50,000 tons of Aktobe
oil through Makhachkala-Tikhoretsk-Novorossiisk route.
Now the first batch of oil has been already delivered to Makhachkala, is said.
Transportation department of the company informs that the oil is delivered
through Bestamak oil platform by railroad to Aktau sea port, where it is
transported to Makhachkala by tankers and then, pumped through
Makhachkala-Tikhoretsk-Novorossiisk pipeline.
It is said that oil purification facility allowed to transport the Aktobe oil
through general use pipelines.
KazTransOil has transported 150,000 tons of Aktobe oil through Atyrau-
Samara route in February-April.
The company has 5,844 km of trunk oil pipelines (excluding Caspian pipeline
consortium), 39 oil pumping stations, 4 oil platforms, 2 oil draining
platforms, reservoirs of 1.2 mln cubic meters.
It has 3 trunk pipelines: Eastern (the pipeline that crosses the country form
north to south), Aktobe (Janajol-Kenkiyak-Orsk pipeline segment) and
Western (the most developed branch of pipeline network, including Uzen-
Atyrau-Samara, as well as Aktau sea port).
