Meeting of Aktobemunaigas (Kazakhstan) shareholders will be held on March 27

/IRBIS, Feb 26, 01/ - REUTERS informs that CNPC-Aktobemunaigas plans
to hold annual shareholders meeting on March 27, where the company's last
year results will be discussed.
It is said that the reports of the revision commission and independent auditor
for the year 2000 will be listened at the meeting. Also, the matters on
determining the net income and dividend size for 2000 year, commissions to
the members of the Board of directors are among the agenda.
Members of the Board of directors and the revision commission will be
elected, is said.
The company Aktobemunaigas is in the western Kazakhstan and controlled
by the Chinese national petroleum company (CNPC), which controls 60.3%
of the shares.
In 1999 the company had a net profit of KZT540.2 mln compared with
KZT30.6 mln net loss in 1998.
Its annual exports reach 1.2 mln of oil to Orsk refinery (Russia) and to China
by railroad. Last year the company has increased oil production up to 2.5
mln tons from 2.3 mln tons in 1999.
