KazTransOil announces completing part of work on capital repair of Kazakhstan section of oil pipeline TON-2

/KASE, October 30, 15/ – KazTransOil JSC (Astana), whose shares are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following press-release: quote "KazTransOil" JSC informs about the completion of scheduled for 2015 work on selective replacement of 57.6 km of Kazakhstani section of "Tuimazy – Omsk – Novosibirsk – 2" oil pipeline (TON-2). The overhaul on selected sections of the pipeline was conducted by "Akniet-BN" LLP in accordance with the schedule. The cost of the completed in 2015 overhaul made KZT 12 billion. Overhaul of TON-2 is conducted to ensure the reliable transportation of 7 MMT/year of crude oil by Kazakhstani section of TON-2 pipeline, including Russian oil designated for further transit transportation to China via the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan using "Omsk – Priirtyshsk – Atasu – Alashankou" route in accordance with the Agreement between the Governments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of Russian crude oil transportation via the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Peoples Republic of China. Overhaul of selected sections of TON-2 oil pipeline has started in 2014, when the sections of the pipeline with a total length of 40 km were replaced. CAPEX for 2014 totaled KZT 5.3 billion. The throughput capacity of TON-2 oil pipeline increased up to 10 million tons per year after the completion of construction work, which were scheduled for 2014 and 2015.
