Capitalization of the Kazakhstan Exchange market of shares decreased by $10.5 mln to $1,291.6 mln during the week

/IRBIS, Oct 27, 00/ - By Oct 27 capitalisation of the exchange market for shares of Kazakhstan totalled $1,291.6 mln. The market capitalisation decreased by $10.5 mln during the last calendar week. The most visible impact was done through fall in prices of - Halyk Bank Kazakhstan ordinary shares (HSBK, official list of KASE securities, category "A") by - 18.7%; - Kazakhtelecom ordinary shares (KZTKp, official list of KASE securities, category "A") by 3.3%. Price growth of VALUT-TRANSIT BANK OJSC ordinary shares (VTBN, official list of KASE securities, category "A") by 18.8% made light compensating effect. So did the tenge strengthening. Currently, 72 instruments of 49 issuers can be traded at the trade floor of the KASE. Resulting change of the KASE Index amounted +0.2167. At the closing of trades on Oct 27 KASE index was equal 100.5270.
