Steady economic growth trend is being observed in Kazakhstan - premier

/IRBIS, Oct.17, 00/ - REUTERS informs, with the reference to the premier-
minister of Kazakhstan, Kasymjomart Tokaev, that the country's major
macroeconomic indicators in 9 months showed an economic growth.
He said that industrial output has equaled 115.5% in 9 months of this year
relative to similar period of last year.
The growth is being observed not only in production industry (21%), but also
in processing industry, where growth exceeded 18%, and the production of
gas and electricity is steadily increasing, he added.
Growth in agriculture is said to have reached 5.5%.
The Ministry of agriculture informs that total grain harvest equaled 12.8 mln
tons, which allows the country to export 3.5-4 mln tons.
The prime-minister said that external trade has increased by 58.5% in 9
months.
He believes it to be a good indicator. Budget revenues equaled KZT422 bln
against planned KZT349 bln, he added.
Increase in all indicators by "fifty percents", as he said, was due to favorable
external markets.
