Capitalization of the Kazakhstan Exchange market of securitiesincreased by $1.6 mln to $1,333.7 mln during the week

/IRBIS, Sep 22, 00/ - On September 22 capitalization of the exchange market for securities of Kazakhstan equaled $1,333.7 mln. The market capitalization increased by $1.6 mln during the last calendar week. The change in capitalization was caused by inclusion into trade lists of following securities: - ordinary registered shares of Zhambilgips CJSC (Taraz, KZ1C00030816, trade code - JMGP, Non-listing securities sector, second admission level); - ordinary registered shares of Vostok-Cement OJSC (Almaty, KZ1C03180410, trade code - VSZM, Non-listing securities sector, second admission level); The increase in market value of Kazakhtelecom preferred shares (KZTKp, official list of securities, category "A") by 36.4% also affected raise in market capitalization. At the same time, decrease of the Kyrgyz som exchange rate set by National Bank put some compensating impact on market capitalization as several Kyrgyz companies have been listed on KASE. Growth in KZT/USD exchange rate slightly affected the capitalization. Currently, 73 instruments of 52 issuers can be traded at the trade floor of the KASE.
