In January–April 2015 volume of foreign currency traded on KASE increased 2.8 times and made up KZT29.1 trln (USD157.2 bn)

/KASE, May 6, 15/ – In January–April 2015 the volume of foreign currencies traded on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swaps transactions, reached KZT29,054.2 bn (equivalent to USD157,196.9 mln) and increased 2.8 times against the same period of 2014 (2.6 times in dollar terms). In comparison with the previous four month period (September–December 2014) the volume of trades increased by 102.6 % (99.1 % in dollar terms). During the first four months of 2015 the tenge devalued at 1.89 % to the US dollar in nominal terms In 2014 the tenge devalued at 18.36 % to the US dollar in nominal terms.
