Almatyenergosbyt announces increasing ex-work price of electricity as of January 1, 2015

/KASE, January 12, 15/ – Almatyenergosbyt LLP (Almaty), whose bonds are
officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has by an official letter
informed KASE of the following:

In accordance with Resolution No. 392 of Government of Republic of
Kazakhstan of March 25, 2009 "On Approval of Cap Tariffs", an increase of the
electricity's ex-work price as of January 1, 2015, was announced by the
following energy producing organizations:
Northern energy sources – up to KZT8.8 (10%);
Almatinskie elektricheskie seti – KZT8.6 (5%);
Zhambyl GRES up to KZT8.7 (2%);
In addition, the price of electricity transfer over KEGOC increased by 33%, over
regional power lines of AZK JSC – by 4%. Also services of energy production-
consumption balancing have increased in price by 22 % to the tariff approved
earlier.
Since the main components of the electricity's ex-work price is its price on the
wholesale market, Almatyenergosbyt LLP informs the energy consumers
changing the tariff by 7.5%.
As of January, 2015 the following tariffs are applied for consumers in Almaty
and Almaty region:
Tariffs differentiated depending upon energy consumption volumes for
households (with account taken of VAT – 12%):
- first level tariff– KZT15.43 per 1 kWh
- second level tariff – KZT20.90 per 1 kWh
- third level tariff – KZT26.13 per 1 kWh
Tariffs differentiated based on day zones (with account taken of VAT):
At the two-zone accounting system:
daytime tariff rate (from 7:00 to 23:00) – KZT22.33 per 1 kWh;
night tariff rate (from 23:00 to 7:00) – KZT4.92 per 1 kWh
At the three-zone accounting system:
daytime tariff rate (from 7:00 to 19:00) – KZT17.42 per 1 kWh;
peak rate (from 19:00 to 23:00) – KZT36.48 per 1 kWh;
night tariff rate (from 23:00 to 7:00) – KZT4.92 per 1 kWh.
