STATISTICS: Weekly volume of transactions in PIS at KASE - $65.3 th

/IRBIS, June 16, 00/ - During the twenty fifth business week of current year (June 12 - 18) 18 deals were made for a total of $65.3 th. in private issue securities (PIS) trade sector of Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE), which is 3.3 times less than that of pervious week ($218.3 th.). During the week the number of deals increased 9 times. In terms of securities the volume increased 10 times to 29,495 shares, whereas in last week it equaled 2,952 shares. The deals were made in 11 instruments. Their proportion in weekly turnover of PIS reached (in descending order): - coupon bonds of OJSC "Komirbank" (KOMBb, official list of securities, category "A",) - 57.6% of total market turnover; - preferred shares of OJSC "Aliuminii Kazakhstana" (ALKZp, official list of securities, category "B") - 11.2%; - preferred shares of OJSC "VALUT-TRANZIT BANK" (VTBNp, official list of securities, category "B") - 10.6%; - preferred shares of OJSC "TNC "KAZCHROME" (KZCRp, official list of securities, category "B") - 8.1%; - preferred shares of OJSC "SSGPO" (SSGPp, "Non-listed securities" sector, level 2) - 7.6%; - preferred shares of OJSC "Evroaziatskaya energeticheskaya korporatsya" (EAECp, "Non-listed securities" sector, level 2) - 2.7%; - preferred shares of OJSC "KAZAKHTELECOM" (KZTKp, official list of securities, category "A") - 1.4%; - common shares of OJSC "Astana finance" (ASFI, official list of securities, category "B") - 0.3%; - common shares of OJSC "Aliuminii Kazakhstana" (ALKZ, official list of securities, category "B") - 0.3%; - common shares of OJSC "Corporation Kazakhmys" (KZMS, official list of securities, category "B") - 0.2%; - preferred shares of OJSC "Corporation Kazakhmys" (KZMS, official list of securities, category "B") - 0.1%; Fifteen of 18 deals of previous week were direct deals, that is they were made by the brokers in Quotation system of the KASE, that excludes automatic satisfaction of the bids in counter auction mode. Three deals were made by using counter auction mode (main mode of the KASE). The proportion of direct deals in total turnover of the market equaled 68.2%.
