KazTransOil reports oil spill on pipeline Martyshi – Atyrau

/KASE, January 19, 15/ – KazTransOil JSC (Astana), whose shares are officially
listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following
press-release:

JSC "KazTransOil" informs that on January 16, 2015, at 10:50 a.m. Astana time
at 81.6 km of oil pipeline Martyshi – Atyrau (Atyrau region of the Republic of
Kazakhstan) the emergency repair service team of Atyrau oil pipeline department
of the Western branch (AOPD WB) of "KazTransOil" JSC had detected an
unauthorized incut into the body of the pipeline with oil spill on the soil.
Currently section of the pipeline at the place of an unauthorized incut has been
repaired and at 16:48 Astana time the transportation of crude oil by Martyshi –
Atyrau pipeline was resumed.
The work on the excavation of polluted soil is carried out on the site of an oil
spill. The emergency recovery team of AOPD WB is headed by A. Dzhangirov, the
chief engineer of AOPD WB of "KazTransOil" JSC.
The amount of damage caused to the environment and to "KazTransOil" JSC as
a result of pipeline damage is to be assessed.
