KazTransOil completes reconstruction of trunk pipelines Ozen – Zhetyibai – Aktau and Kalamkas-Krazhanbas-Aktau

/KASE, December 26, 14/ – KazTransOil JSC (Astana), whose shares are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following press-release: quote "KazTransOil" JSC informs about the completion of Uzen – Zhetybai – Aktau trunk pipeline reconstruction project and the completion of second phase of Kalamkas – Karazhanbas – Aktau trunk pipeline reconstruction project "KazTransOil" JSC informs about the completion of Uzen – Zhetybai – Aktau trunk pipeline reconstruction project and the completion of second phase of Kalamkas – Karazhanbas – Aktau trunk pipeline reconstruction project (Karazhanbas – Aktau section). The project of Kalamkas – Karazhanbas – Aktau and Uzen – Zhetybai – Aktau pipelines' reconstruction was initiated in conjunction with the planned redirection of Buzachi crude oil to Uzen HOPS (except that volume of oil designated for processing at Aktau Bitumen Plant) as well as in order to provide transportation capacity for future production at new fields at Kazakhstani sector of the Caspian sea."KazTransOil" JSC conducts the reconstruction project in three phases that are scheduled for 2014-2017 period. The project includes the reconstruction of selected sections of Kalamkas – Karazhanbas – Aktau and Uzen – Zhetybai – Aktau pipelines in order to ensure reliable and uninterrupted transportation of Buzachi crude oil from Aktau to Atyrau. The 1st phase of the project included the replacement of 14 km of Kalamkas – Karazhanbas – Aktau pipeline (Karazhanbas – Aktau section), the replacement of 25 km of Uzen – Zhetybai – Aktau pipeline and reconstruction of 78.6 km of Zhetybai – Aktau section of pipeline. The State commission signed the Act of commissioning of the reconstructed facilities on August 27, 2014. The 2nd phase of the project included the replacement of 58.85 km of Karazhanbas – Aktau section and the selective replacement of 60.4 km of Uzen – Zhetybai section. Thus,"KazTransOil" JSC completed Uzen – Zhetybai – Aktau trunk pipeline reconstruction project. The completion of Kalamkas – Karazhanbas – Aktau trunk pipeline reconstruction project is scheduled in mid-2015.
