(Almaty), whose shares are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange
(KASE), has provided KASE with the following press-release of December 8,

In anticipation of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
subsidiaries of Central Asian Electric Power Corporation JSC (CAEPCO)
officially commissioned an upgraded turbine generating unit No. 5 of Pavlodar
CHP plant-3 of PAVLODARENERGO JSC, and a new steam generating unit No.
8 and Petropavlovsk CHP plant-2 of SEVKAZENERGO JSC. The said
modernization projects have been implemented in the framework of the
investment program of CAEPCO JSC group of companies.
