STATISTICS: Weekly volume of transactions in PIS at KASE - $377.2 th.

/IRBIS, May 12, 00/ - During the twentieth business week of current year (May 6 - 12) 4 deals were made for a total of $377.2 th. in private issue securities (PIS) trade sector of Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE), which is lower than that of pervious week ($543.8 th.) by 30.6%. During the week the number of deals shrank 1.5 times. In terms of securities the volume reached 186,111 shares, whereas in last week it did not exceed 16,674. The deals were made in 3 instruments. Their proportion in weekly turnover of PIS reached: - common shares of OJSC "SHNOS" (SYRG, official list of securities, category "A") - 75.5%; - preferred shares of "Kazakhtelecom" (KZTKp, official list of securities, category "A") - 14.4%; - preferred shares of OJSC "Mangistaumunaigas"(MMGZp, official list of securities, category "B") - 10.1%. It is interesting to note that only trade deals were made during the week, that means automatic satisfaction of bids in counter auction mode. Last week 4 deals were direct and two - trade deals.
