In April 2000 volume of trades in State Securities on KASE has increased from $20,837.5 to $24,807.5 mln

/IRBIS, May 03, 00/ - In April 2000 at the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange in State Securities purchase and sale sector 242 deals to the total sum of 7,740.1 mln tenges were made. The sector's turnover decreased by 25.5% in comparison with previous month. Volumes of indexed domestic SS were calculated at official USD/KZT rate. In repo sector of KASE 300 deals were registered for a total of KZT17,067.4 mln during the reporting month. Corresponding figure for previous month - 190 deals for KZT10,448.1 mln. Total of 542 deals to the sum of 24,807.5 mln tenges were made in April on the KASE floors. Last month volume of 501 deals was 20,837.5 mln tenges. The share of the exchange's turn-over in total amount of the Kazakhstan SS secondary market on comparable operations (including euronotes and repo deals) in April has made 77.2% (in March - 63.6%).
