Prices of industrial production in Kazakhstan have increased in March of 2000 by 2.2%

/IRBIS, April 21, 00/ - According to the monthly report of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan, prices of industrial producers in Kazakhstan have increased by 2.2% in March of 2000 in comparison to the previous month. In total for the first quarter, output prices increased by 5.4% and prices of industrial services grew by 1.1%. The first quarter recorded a growth of prices in the mineral resource and manufacturing industries by 13.5% and 1.9%, respectively, whereas prices of production and distribution of electricity, gas and water has decreased by 0.3%. Prices on energy resources and gas increased in March by 3.8% and 13.3%, correspondingly. Prices on oil refining products decreased in March by 3.2%. In the metallurgic industry, output prices increased by 6.8% in the first quarter of 2000, with corresponding growth in non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy by 6.8% and 1.5% respectively.
