Head of Mintopenergo disagree with statements about negative consequences for Russia of Kazakh oil transit quotas increase

/IRBIS, March 30, 00/ - PRAIM TASS informs that the Minister of fuel and power of Russian Federation Viktor Kaljuzhnyj hopes for a constructive dialogue with the head of a State Duma fraction Sergej Kirienko, which approves that increase of Kazakh oil export through Russia will damage the Russian producers. In opinion of Kirienkom, Kazakh transit magnification can cause huge losses in Russian budget". In the letter of the Minister addressed to Kirienkom is spoken, that the mutual relation of Mintopenergo and Kazakhstan is instituted according to the instructions of the Government of Russian Federation concerning priority use by Kazakhstan of the Russian territory. He refers to the bilateral intergovernmental agreement from December 25, 1993. In opinion of Kaljuzhnyj, allowing a rigid competitiveness in transit services, the statements of the fraction head can damage Russian geopolitical interests.
