/IRBIS, March 28, 00/ - PRIME-TASS informs, with the reference to the
minister of mining industry and energy of the country Susilo Bambang
Udheono, that Indonesia is for world oil prices at $22-26 per barrel.
He said it was needed for state budget performance of Indonesia.
He added that there were two groups within OPEC: one /including Saudi
Arabia, Venezuela and Kuwait/ are for production quota increase that may
cause the prices to fall; and others /including Iraq and Libya/ would like to
fix the quota or increase it some so that prices will remain high. Indonesia is
said to attempt to find a compromise.
