For the time present Kazakhstan did not accept decision concerning sale of State Share in Tengizshevroil

/IRBIS, March 15, 00/ - According to REUTERS, which cites Sarybaj Kalmurzaev, the head of the President's administration, Kazakhstan continues to work above the project of sale of part of its share in joint venture Tengizshevroil producing third of Kazakhstan's petroleum. However there is no final decision concerning it. As he said, the question is supervised by to the Prime Minister Kasymzhomart Tokaev. The Government of Kazakhstan has been conducted since the summer of 1999 the closed negotiations with the potential investors. Some sources approved that the speech was about sale of 10% of the Kazakhstan' share. The negotiations were stopped after many politicians, deputies of Parliament, and also oil workers have acted against sale naming it "momentary benefit". In opinion of Balgimbaev, the former Prime minister, the price of Tengiz deposit has reached the maximum point and it is expedient today to sell a part of state share. The Tengiz project is considered as one of the most successful in Kazakhstan. The joint venture Tengizshevroil is formed by Kazahoil (25%), American Chevron (45%), Mobil (25%) and Russian Lukarko (5%).
