Kazakhstan approved accounts payable settlement regulations

/IRBIS, March 10, 00/ - REUTERS informs that the government of
Kazakhstan approved settlement regulations for accounts payable to the
national budget in 2000, and it has also announced the members of the
commission that is responsible for examining the matters related to
settlement of accounts payable.
Statistics agency informs that as of October 1, 1999 internal accounts
payable reached KZT1,282.7 bln, among them contractors and suppliers
account for 27.6%, bank loans - 6.7%, loans of non-bank organizations -
22.7%. External accounts payable equaled KZT611.1 bln, and accounts
payable of the enterprises and the organizations within the country exceeds
receivables by 2.2 times, informs the agency.
It is said the government is creating the commission as consulting and
advisory body to make suggestions regarding the order and priority of
settlement of accounts of state institutions, and to involve the consultants
and experts into the participation.
The Ministry of finance is said to provide consolidated information on
settlement schedule for accounts payable to the commission.
