/IRBIS, March 09, 00/ - Present high world oil price is result of "the
dealers' speculation", the oil minister of Iran has declared. " There are no
reasons for rise in oil prices at the spring approach", - he has emphasized.
Oil Ministers of Saudi Arabia and Iran have issued communiquй in which
they have agreed that the present market situation does not answer to the
long-term interests of oil exporters and consumers. In this connection Saudi
Arabia and Iran have agreed to increase the oil export quotas. This question
will be consider at the OPEK's meeting on March 27 in Vienna.
Some days ago Iran, Libya and Algeria have stated that with the spring
approach oil demand will decrease by 3 million barrels per day and, hence,
increase of oil its export can cause too sharp fall in prices.
