Additional session of KASE in USD_TOD closed at 140.04/08

/IRBIS, Feb.23, 00/ - At Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) additional (day) trades in U.S. dollars, Deutsche marks and euros with TOD terms were held. 7 banks participated in the trades. 6 deals were made during the trade for a total of $800 th. dollar was traded within 140.05 - 140.09 tenge per unit price interval with gradual decrease of the exchange rate of the American currency from one deal to another. At closing of the session (3:30PM) dollar was at 140.04/08 tenge per unit. At 3:30PM in trades in dollars with TOM and with SPOT terms deals were not made yet. Dollar was offered for 140.08 tenge per unit with no demand (TOM). For SPOT terms quotations were absent. At 3:30PM on interbank currency market dollar quotations were at 140.05/10 tenge per dollar in REUTERS information system. All market indicators show that the tenge is steadily firming.
