The conjuncture of the market for the dollar did not change much today. In general, the parity of demand and supply exists on the floor, and the dynamics of the exchange rate is formed under local occurrences, caused by the behaviors of the dealers. The banks were equally active in both buying and selling dollars. General mood of the trades was mainly determined by two traders (one from each side), who were handling almost half of all currency turnover on the floor. Thanks to their activities the rate of the American currency was maintained at 140.08 for a long time. Only at last minutes of the session other banks began to join the trades with increasing activity, demand rose, and the dollar reached 140.12. It should be noted today the dealers preferred only to buy dollars or sell them. Demand prevailed supply somewhat. Speculative component in dealers' behaviors was faint.
