Additional session of KASE in USD_TOD closed at 140.08/10

/IRBIS, Feb.22, 00/ - At Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) additional (day) trades in U.S. dollars, Deutsche marks and euros with TOD terms were held. 6 banks participated in the trades. 4 deals were made during the trade for a total of $1.100 mln. At closing of the session (3:30PM) dollar was at 140.08/10 tenge per unit. At closing of the day session one deal was made in trades with TOM for $500 th. at 140.09 tenge per dollar with quotations of 140.03/12. With SPOT terms deals were not made yet, dollar was offered for 140.16 with no demand. At 3:30PM on interbank currency market dollar quotations were at 140.06/11 tenge per dollar in REUTERS information system. All market indicators show that the tenge is firming in the afternoon.
