/IRBIS, Feb.07, 00/ - According to REUTERS, at closing of interbank currency market of Kazakhstan on February 03 tenge quotations towards U.S. dollar equaled 139.58/66 tenge per dollar. Compared to the results of the previous day tenge decreased by 13 point against US dollar on demand and by 11 points on supply. The interbank dollar quotations after noon demonstrated tenge increase at the rather narrow (3-5 points) spreads. In main (morning) session weighted average rate of the dollar with TOD terms equaled 139.58 (+0.19) tenge per dollar and closing quotations - 139.59/64. At the day session closing (3:30PM) the TOD dollar quotations made 139.59/64. Under the TOM accounts dollar was quoted on the evening session (3:30PM) at 139.59/67 tenges for unit, SPOT accounts - at 139.58/68. At closing of the evening session the dollar quotation were absent. The after-dinner dollar quotations on the KASE trades and in the interbank market the last time are very similar or even equal. It is stipulated by the dollar market maker activity, especially since the increased market volatility requires from the market maker to be careful at the firm quotes formation. His slightest mistake or inadvertency can result in essential losses of the potential profit or even to the losses. The dollar quotations in the second half of day and, especially, in the last hours testifies to the traders doubts in the Friday's and Monday's USD growth. Demand prices and have not exceeded the morning session quotations. Dollar has grown only on the offer, and it has raised the spreads by evening to 10 points. But, by the dealer's passivity on the day and evening exchange trades, this growth has been not confirmed by the real transactions. The balance in the market is saved. Thus, the IRBIS experts are inclined to assume that the dollar rate growth will continue on the morning KASE trades on Tuesday. However the growth rate, most likely, will be not so high, as on Monday.
