Shareholders meeting of Halyk-Bank (Kazakhstan) to be held on February 11

/IRBIS, Jan.21, 00/ - REUTERS informs, with the reference to the general director of LLP Delta, one of the bank shareholders, that shareholders meeting of Halyk savings bank of Kazakhstan will reelect the Board of directors of the bank due to changes among the shareholders. "New shareholders wish to participate in the management of the bank", said Mirbulat Abuov. The law "On joint stock companies" reads that in case one of the members of the Board is reelected shareholders general meeting should make a decision on resigning all of the Board and its further reelection. Consortium Asia-Invest bought 16.7% of shares of the bank last December. This consortium incorporates Komirbank, Almaty commercial bank and the company Asia-Invest. The fourth additional KZT850,464,906.00 share issue was placed among the shareholders. Stake of the government in the authorized capital of the bank decreased from 80% to 50% plus one share after the next sale of state owned block of shares and the placement of additional share issue. LLP Delta owns 5% of shares, and the rest belongs to depositors and private persons. Authorized capital of the bank is at KZT3.6 bln now.
