/IRBIS, Jan.20, 00/ - The Administration of USA will continue to support the
projects of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceihan oil pipeline and the Transkaspean gas
pipeline after completion of the Bill Klinton presidency. The special adviser
of the President on the Caspian region John Vulf has declared it on Thursday
in Baku.
He has informed that on January 21 in Ankara the tripartite negotiations of
Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey will begin. The adviser has expressed hope
that all problems connected to the project will be overpassed during the
forthcoming negotiations.
It most likely concerns the problems connected with the the Georgia
reguests to grant it the additional contingency warranties, and 3% from any
oli transported by the pipeline.
