/IRBIS, Jan.20. 00/ - ITAR TASS cites the information of the Kazakhstan
Government Public Relations Department concerning results of negotiations
of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Kasymzhomart Tokaev and the First
vice-president of Russian Government Michael Kas'ianov.
Volume of oil export from Kazakhstan by the Atyrau-Samara pipeline in 2000
will make 9.5 million tons. The agreement was achieved last days in
Moscow.
It is noted also, that the Kazakhstani oil producers can process their oil on
the Russian refiners at the reciprocal basis, and to realize petroleum both on
the Russia territory and in the external market.
The joint activity on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium proceeds. The join plan
concerning development of Russian and Kazakhstani refiners will be
prepared in the first half-year of a current year.
As the press release informs, Kazakhstan and Russia have achieved the
arrangements on creation of the joint Kazakhstan-Russian enterprise -
Ekibastuz GRES-2, 1 GVT power station, which used the cheapest in the
world coal.
The parties have expressed satisfaction by results of cooperation in the field
of space research. It has been marked that the further cooperation in this
area are connected with the joint projects on the Baikonur space port.
