/KASE, April 4, 14, resent due to adjustment of trades volume on the swap market in 2014/ – In the period from January–March 2014 the volume of foreign currencies traded on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swaps transactions, reached KZT8,212.8 bn (equivalent to USD47,986.7 m) increasing 2.5 times against the same period of last year (2.2 times in dollar terms). If compared to the previous three-month period (October–December 2013) the volume traded increased by 37.4 % (23.4 % in dollar terms). During the first three months of 2014 tenge devalued 18.17 % to the US dollar in nominal terms In 2013 the tenge devalued 1.58 % to the US dollar in nominal terms.
