Total volume of transactions amounted to KZT10,260.8 mln or equivalent of USD74,253.6 th. US dollar accounted for 99.8% of Exchange's total turnover. Volume of transactions in US dollar reached $74.090 th. (KZT10,238.2 mln) with average volume of the session $3.705 th. Corresponding figures for previous month: $233.370 th. (KZT32,475.3 mln), $10.608 th.; December 1998: $171.225 th. (KZT12,323.2 mln), $7.783 th. Tenge devaluation rate, calculated at weighted average rate of the Exchange, is estimated in December 1999 (November 30,99 = 137.9010 - December 31,99 = 138.2493) by a trend of 18.8% APR. Last month weighted average rate of tenge was also 18.8% APR, but tenge was revaluing. Weighted average rate of USD to tenge, calculated by all December deals - 138.19 tenge per unit. For November - 139.16 tenge per dollar. From the beginning of 1999 through December 31, 99 corresponding figure equaled 126.59 tenge per dollar an increase from 126.17 within a month.
