Terms of transferring state owned block of Kazpochta to Halyk-bank will be determined till December 31

/IRBIS, Dec.21, 99/ - REUTERS informs, with the reference to the information of the bank, that terms of transferring state owned block of Republican state enterprise (RSE) of postal services of Kazakhstan shares to Halyk savings bank (Halyk-bank) will be determined till December 31, 1999 by a special commission. "Term of the management is set as the one of the major criteria for transferring state owned block of Kazpochta shares to Halyk bank - until the share of the state in OJSC Halyk bank of Kazakhstan maintained on at least 50 percent and one share level", is said. The strategy of creating postal-savings system of Kazakhstan is also being worked on by the commission. Deputy prime-minister Erjan Utembaev was assigned as the chairman of the commission. The commission was also comprised of the head of the National bank Grigorii Marchenko, vice-minister of finance Anvar Saidenov and Daniyar Abulgazin, chairman of the National securities commission Azamat Joldasbekov, head of Halyk bank Karim Masimov and general director of RSE of postal services Orazaly Erjanov. The resolution of the government on intentions to privatize the state enterprise of postal services and pass 100 percent of its shares to Halyk bank was signed yesterday. However, no details of the deal are clear yet.
