USD/KZT at closing of the day - 138.26/32 (indicators)

/IRBIS, Dec.09, 99/ - According to REUTERS, at closing of interbank currency market of Kazakhstan on December 03 tenge quotations towards US dollar equaled 138.26/32 tenge per dollar. Compared to the results of the previous day tenge increased by 7 points on demand against US dollar and by 11 points on supply. On the main (morning) session weighted average rate of the dollar with TOD terms equaled 138.31 (-0.06) tenge per dollar and closing quotations of 138.28/29. The evening TOM and SPT trades were unproductive. Dollar in the interbank market was quoted today approximately till 4:00 p.m. Almaty time, then its quotations in REUTERS were stopped. There were no any expressed tendencies in the price changes. The spreads during all this time did not exceed 7 points, being narrowed from time to time to 3 points. The dollar interbank market was today did not differ by activity. In the IRBIS's analysts opinion dollar demand from the banks of the second tier on Friday can somewhat increase under influence of the State Securities redemption. However the Thursday's quite big dollar supply shows an appearance on the Exchange of the exporters proceeds. Most likely, the resultant action of the indicated factors can caused on Friday growth of trade volume without of the essential changes in the dollar rate dynamics.
