KazTransOil is going to execute some projects on the total sum of more than $2.3 billion

/PRIME TASS, Dec.02, 99/ - The National Oil Transportation Company of Kazakhstan " KazTransOil" considers some projects to the total sum of more than $2.39 billion. That is sated in the KazTransOil's press release received by PRIME TASS on Thursday. The largest project is the construction of an oil pipeline Western Kazakhstan - western China with initial throughput of 20 million tons of oil per year, which costs about 2.158 billion dollars. The technical and economic assessment /TEA/ of the project in the near future will be considered by coordination committee, then it will be transferred to the governments of Kazakhstan and China. In the first quarter of 2000 the company is going to consider TEA of an oil pipeline Kenkiak-Atyrau with throughput 3-6 million tons of oil per year at the cost of 190 million dollars. According to the press release, the project will be financed be the Japanese companies. Among the other studied projects KazTransOil mentions the project of increase of the Atyrau-Samara pipeline throughput to 15 million tons per year. The total cost of the project will make 35.3 million dollars.
