Spread of Kyrgyztelecom shares decreasing at KASE
02.12.99 00:00
/IRBIS, Dec.02, 99/ - As informed earlier, by the decision of the Board of
Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE), dated November 9, 1999, common
shares of the following Kyrgyz emitters: OJSC "Kyrgyztelecom", JSC
"Kyrgyzenergo", and JSC "Kantskii Tsementno-Shifernyii kombinat" were
entered into trade lists of the stock exchange with the second level of
admittance to "Non-listing securities" sector. Trades were opened for these
securities on November 15, 1999.
These securities are regularly quoted by brokers in Quotation system of
KASE since then, but no deals were made in them.
The most interesting securities for the traders are common shares of OJSC
"Kyrgyztelecom" (trade code - KGTK). On the first trades these shares
were only asked for $0.10 per share. On November a spread appeared:
$0.10/0.18, which is shrinking day after day and now it is at $0.16/0.17 per
share.
It is interesting that such a narrow difference between bid and ask price is
some kind of a record at KASE, among all the instruments traded.
Shares of two other Kyrgyz emitters are only offered with no demand for
them: JSC "Kyrgyzenergo" (code KGEN) at $0.16 per common share; JSC
"Kantskii Tsementno-Shifernyii kombinat" (code KCSK) at $0.40 per share.
