Number of individual accounts involved in share transactions on KASE in November increased by 12 %

/KASE, December 5, 13/ – In November 2013 the number of individual accounts involved in share transactions on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) increased by 12 % on the month before. At the same time the share of individuals in the gross turnover of shares in money terms decreased to 49.7 % from 84.0 % in October. The total gross turnover of deals in shares on KAASE in November increased 5.2 times on the previous month making up KZT91.1 bn (shares trade volume excluding special trading sessions made up KZT45.6 bn). At the same time 92 % (KZT41.8 bn) of this trade volume fell on deals in ordinary shares KZ1C59400016 (KZ1C00000967, KASE official list, third category, SHZN) of ShalkiyaZinc LTD (Almaty). As of the end of November according to JSC "Central Securities Depository" (Almaty, hereinafter – CD), the total number of individual accounts opened on behalf of individuals reached 55,200, which is by 676 accounts more than at the end of the previous month, and by 2,894 accounts more than at the beginning of this year. According to the CD the number of accounts reduced following closure in November of many dormant accounts where securities were absent for more than six months. Below is information on the development of the number of individual accounts opened in the CD, the number of accounts involved in share transactions on KASE (Accounts in deals), gross turnover of trade in shares over such accounts, as well as their portion in the total gross turnover of share trade.
