/PRIME TASS, Nov.23, 99/ - On Monday Iraq has stopped the oil export
through Turkish port of Ceyhan. According to the Kuwaiti TV message, the
U.N.O. expects, that since Tuesday the oil export through port of Mine al'
Bakr in the Southern Iraq will be also suspended, - informs ITAR TASS.
On Saturday Iraq has rejected the resolution accepted by U.N.O. Security
Council, which prolongs till December 4 the sixth phase of the humanitarian
agreement "Oil in exchange for the foodstuffs" expired on November 20. This
resolution acceptance has been caused by the absence of agreement
concerning the next seventh phase of this humanitarian program.
In November Iraq daily exported 2.2 million barrels of oil, including 1.2
million through the Mine al' Bakr and about 1 million barrels through the
Iraq - Turkey pipeline.
The experts predict in near future sharp increase of the oil prices.
