/IRBIS, Nov.19, 99/ - Zejnulla Kakimzhanov, the Minister of the public
revenues of Kazakhstan has informed at the press-conference, that the
budget receipts has reached on November 18, 1999 of 281.067 billion
tenges, without the Baikonur lease payment.
Prognostic value was 292.789 billion tenges.
The minister has informed about approximately five-percentage monthly
increase in the tax and untax receipts. For example, in October, 1999 the
sum of budget receipts has made 35.1 billion tenges in comparison with 33.5
billion in September. In May the corresponding parameter has amounted to
26.0 billion, in January - to 15.5 billion tenges.
In the first half of November the budget has received by 13% more, than in
the similar period of October. Thus, the speed of the budget income
increasing do not change.
As the main reasons of growth Zejnulla Kakimzhanov specifies the
introduction of the floating exchange rate in April 1999 and improvement of
the tax collection. The latter, in his opinion, was stipulated in a large measure
by implementation of the electronic monitoring of the largest export
enterprises. Besides the administrative measures were toughened. The
figures are indicated: in October the budget receipt from the major concerns
has increased to 12.98 billion tenges were increased, compared to 3.5 billion
tenges in January.

devaluation of 6.5%.
From July 01, 1999 till November 18 world prices of the Kazakhstan export's

19%; titanium - by7%.
