During period January–October 2013 volume of foreign currencies trade on KASE increased by 21.1 % and made up KZT14.1 trln ($92.6 bn)

/KASE, November 4, 13/ – During period January–October 2013 the volume of foreign currencies trading on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, made up KZT14,079.4 bn (USD92,621.1 mln) and increased against the same period of 2012 by 21.2 % (18.8 % in dollar terms). In comparison with the previous ten month period (March–December 2012) the trade volume increased by 12.8 % (10.8 % in dollar terms). Tenge devalued in the current year against US dollar at the weighted average exchange rate of 2.76 % APR. During the initial ten months of 2013 the devaluation rate of the tenge to US dollar in nominal terms made up 2.32 %.
