Shares of OJSC "Kyrgyzenergo" have been entered into trade lists of KASE

/KASE, Nov.10, 99/ - On November 9 of this year by the decision of the Exchange's board of KASE common inscribed shares of OJSC "Kyrgyzenergo" (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) have been entered into the sector of "Non-listing securities" with the second level of admittance. The shares were assigned a trade code - KGEN. OJSC "Kyrgyzenergo", previously Production association of energy and electrification of Kyrgyz SSR, was part of Minenergo before the collapse of USSR. After a declaration of independence by Kyrgyzstan the property of Production association of energy and electrification of Kyrgyz SSR was passed under the control of State management of the republic bodies. In 1992 by the resolution of the board of State committee of Kyrgyzstan on management of state property a holding "Kubat" was established on the basis of the union, which was renamed into "Kyrgyz state energy company" afterwards. Under the privatization program of state enterprises the company was converted into Kyrgyz state joint stock holding energy company in 1993. In 1997 the property appraisal committee of "Kyrgyzgosenergoholding", after examining the materials on assessment of the property of related enterprises, transformed Kyrgyz state joint stock holding energy company into a joint stock company "Kyrgyzenergo". Authorized capital of JSC "Kyrgyzenergo" is set at 7,470,107,700 soms (as of January 1, 99 7,193,031,800 soms or $245.49 mln were paid), which includes the properties of the branches. At the time JSC "Kyrgyzenergo" submitted documents to KASE it had 17 branches throughout the republic. Based on the prospectus, the company owns 72.23% in authorized capital of JSC "Kyrgyzenergobank". JSC "Kyrgyzenergo" is a member of Electroenergy Council of CIS (Moscow), European energy charter (Brussels), World energy Council (WEC, London). Primary activities of the company are: generation, transmission, distribution, and sale of electric and thermal energy according to legal licenses of Kyrgyzstan, and dispatch administration of the National electric grid and other grids of the company. Shares of JSC "Kyrgyzenergo" (KG0101072815) are entered into trade lists of Kyrgyz stock exchange (second listing category) on December 12, 1997. From December 12, 97 through August 17, 99 1,736 deals were made with them for a total of 36,859,895.62 soms. From the beginning of the circulation on the stock exchange maximum price of a share reached 14.42 soms, minimum - 0.01 soms. Fund for State Property of Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) owns 81.71% of the shares; 13.00% - Social fund of the republic (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan); 3.95% - legal entities; 1.34% - private persons. By the resolution of the National Securities Commission of Kazakhstan #3, dated November 4, 1999, shares of OJSC "Kyrgyzenergo" are allowed to circulate on the territory of Kazakhstan.
