KAZAKHSTAN HAS CONDUCTED AN ADDITIONAL PLACEMENT OF EURONOTES OF THE THIRD ISSUE

/IRBIS, Nov.08, 99/ - REUTERS has informed today with the reference to ABN AMRO Bank NV (London) and Deutsche Bank AG (London), that Kazakhstan has conducted an additional placement of the Eurobonds of the third issue (ISIN XS0102764031) to the sum of $25 millions. The date of placement is not specified. According to the data of International Insider the Payment Date of the investors additional bonds is November 22, 99. The additional placement is conducted at the discount price of 99.875% at current trend of + 777 basic points to the five years' U.S. T-Bills. The main part of the bonds totaling $200 million was placed in London on September 27 at the price of 98.870% at the spread of + 825 basic points and 5 years of circulation term. The coupon rate at 2 times per year payment has made 13.625% p.a. Issue Date - October 18, 99, Maturity Date - October 18, 2004. The coupon will be paid on April 18 and October 18. Lead Managers of the project is ABN AMRO Bank NV (London) and Deutsche Bank AG (London). According to the data of Emerging Markets and Capital NET Limited (London) they have attracted as Co-Managers 10 large financial institutions of the world. Eurobonds have following long-term credit ratings: Moody's foreign currency B1, S&P foreign currency B +, and Fitch IBCA foreign currency BB-. According to ISMA, on November 05 the Kazakhstan Euronotes of the third issue were quoted in the world market at a level of 100.450%/101.000%. Today on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange their prices varied from 100.9944% to 101.0307% at an exchange average weighted market dollar rate of 139.97 tenge per dollar.
