USD/KZT at the day closing - 140.22/32 (indicators)

/IRBIS, Nov.04, 99/ - According to REUTERS, at the moment of closing of Kazakhstan's OTC-market on November 04 tenge/dollar quotations has made 140.22/32 tenge per dollar at the average weighted exchange rate 140.11 (+0,05) and session closing quotations of 140.17/19. By the dealers interbank quotations, tenge as against of the previous day closing decreased by 17 points on demand and on supply. The dollar quotations in the interbank market of Kazakhstan have continued a trend formed during exchange trades. By the evening the speed of dollar strengthening has slightly decreased, but despite of it the quotations have remained above exchange's ones. The spreads varied today from 6 to 10 points at average 8. Rates of the overnight interbank tenge deposits remained without changes - 1/5% p.a. In the repo sector the only transaction was made at the repo closing under 13.00% p.a. There are enough of free tenges on the market. In opinion of the IRBIS analysts, yesterday's statement of the head of the National Bank concerning cancellation in the near future of the exporters proceeds obligatory sale has made market more active. It was shown today both on KASE, and on OTS market. It looks as if dollar may increase. The Friday's State Securities redemption can promote this process. On Friday on KASE the dealers, most likely, will continue, as well as today, to speculate for the dollar rise. Technical market indicators also confirm this forecast.
