There are no expressed tendencies in the dollar rate change on the OTC market

/IRBIS, Oct.20, 99/ - As it was informed earlier, at closing of the KASE session the tenge per US dollar quotation were fixed at the level of 140.44/46. Weighted average rate is 140.48. Following are the quotations of Kazakhstan interbank currency market provided by dealers to the REUTERS information system (the interval is about an hour): 140.44/46 - Exchange closing, 140.35/50 140.33/53 140.35/55 140.46/65 140.40/60 - at 16:00 p.m. Almaty time. After dinner no expressed tendencies in dynamics of the interbank dollar quotations were observed. Some strengthening tenge after dinner was compensated by the return movement at the last hour. Spreads are high, that testifies to ambiguous valuation of the market by dealers. As well as yesterday, the interbank overnight tenge quotations have decreased 3 times till 4:00 p.m. and this time have made 4% (demand) on 12% (supply).
