Samruk-Energy (Kazakhstan) announced Y2013 first half results

/KASE, July 25, 13/ – Samruk-Energy (Astana), bonds of which are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided to KASE the following press release of July 24, 2013: quotation The work of "Samruk-Energy" in the first half of 2013 in the electricity and coal industries was carried out in the framework of the established plans of the company. Electricity production was 14 591 million kWh, which is 1.9 times higher than the same period last year. The volume of electricity transmission for the 6 months of this year amounted to 6011 million kWh, which is 1.42 times higher than the corresponding volumes of the 1st half of 2012. Coal extraction "Bogatyr Coal" for the reporting period amounted to 19.6 million tons, or 90% of the approved total. This is due to a reduction in coal exports to Russia. In general, total consolidated revenues for January - June 2013 amounted to 72,672 million tenge or 100% of the approved plan. The consolidated total income for the reporting period of 2013 amounted to KZT 23,872 million, which corresponds to the planned targets.
