According to NSC volume of net pension assets in Kazakhstan at the beginning of September is $392.2 mln

/IRBIS, Sept.13, 99/ - The data of National Securities Commission (NSC) shows that the sum of net pension assets (PA) in the republic (sum of pension assets excluding liabilities on commissions charged and credit liability on pension payments) at September 01, 1999 has amounted to 53,128.1 mln tenge or $392.2 mln at the weighted average exchange rate for that day. Correspondind figure for August 01 was 50,573.9 mln tenge or $383.5 mln. In a month assets had risen 5.1% in terms of tenge and 2.3% in terms of dollar. For the previous month it was 3.0%, and 3.6%, respectively. At the beginning of September PA totaled to 53,415.8 mln tenge, of which 52,984.6 mln was invested. Share of State Accumulation Pension Fund assets decreased from 64.4 to 62.9% within a month. In a total 6 pension assets management company, 14 non-state and one state pension found worked in the country. Following is the data of assets invested in financial instruments (in brackets - the same figure as of August 01): - domestic State Securities of Ministry of Finance (KZT) - 3.97% (3.31%); - domestic State Securities of Ministry of Finance (USD) - 60.13% (63.02%); - eurobonds of an independent debt of Kazakhstan (USD) - 29.58% (28.69%); - notes of the National Bank of Kazakhstan (KZT) - 2.26% (1.49%); - bonds of local executive bodies of Kazakhstan - 0.08% (0.09%); - non-state securities (KZT) - 0.31% (0.32%); - non-state securities (foreign currencies) - 2.40% (1.84%); - deposits and certificates of deposit (KZT) - 0.13% (0.07%); - deposits and certificates of deposit (foreign currencies) - 1.12% (1.18%).
