Batys tranzit (Kazakhstan) begins construction of two one-chain high-voltage power lines

/KASE, July 3, 12/ - JSC "Batys Tranzit" (Almaty), whose bonds are officially listed at Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following press-release of June 29, 2012: quote Herewith, JSC "Batys tranzit" brings to the knowledge of those interested its having begun the construction of two one-chain high-voltage power lines VL 220 kV for external power feeding of melting unit no. 4 of Aktobe plant of ferroalloys, a branch of JSC "TNC "Kazchrome". For financing this construction, on June 18, 2012 a loan agreement was made between JSC "Batys tranzit" and Eurasian Development Bank, regarding provision of a non-revolving loan facility to the amount of KZT3.1 bn. The construction of two power lines VL 220 kV will provide new opportunities for operation of the existing inter-regional power line VL 500 kV "Northern Kazakhstan - Aktobe region" and ensure its being fully loaded. unquote [2012-07-03]
