(KASE) on April 17, 2012, KASE index increased by 16.40 points (1.36 %)
from 1,203.13 to 1,219.53
The first deal fixed the index at 1,207.57. During the trades the maximum value
made up 1,220.79, the minimum - 1,163.99.
Volume of deals in shares, included to the index representative list, on April 17
against the previous trading day in tenge increased 5.4 times and made up
KZT369.0 m (USD2,501.2 th.).

The KASE Index shows a change in prices of the index representative
list stocks for calculation of the index, with account to capitalization of
such issuers and a number of such stocks in free float. One stock weight
must not exceed 15 %. The KASE Index is calculated during a trading day
as deals in the representative list stocks are concluded. If during a trading
day no deals are made in a representative list stock, then for purposes of
such calculation results of the last resultant trade session are used.
