Subsidiary Bank Sberbank of Russia (Kazakhstan) signs co-operation memorandum with Akim of West Kazakhstan region

/KASE, March 29, 12/ - Subsidiary Bank Sberbank of Russia (Kazakhstan)
(Almaty), whose bonds are officially listed at Kazakhstan Stock Exchange
(KASE), has provided KASE with the following press-release of March 29, 2012:

On the day of celebration of its Oral branch's 10th anniversary, Subsidiary
Bank JSC "Sberbank" and Akim of West Kazakhstan signed a
memorandum on co-operation providing for development of strategic
partnership as part of implementation of the region's social and economic
programs
The memorandum signed by the CEO of Sberbank Oleg Smirnov and Akim of
West Kazakhstan Nurlan Nogaev, stipulates implementation of joint measures
by using a broad range of Sberbank's capabilities.
In particular, according to the document, the parties are supposed to begin with
implementation of joint projects involving financing of enterprises in
manufacturing, mining and other industries of West Kazakhstan and carrying
out innovation projects aimed at increasing Kazakhstan-made content in the
regional output.
- It's symbolical that the signing of such important document as Co-operation
Memorandum coincided with the 10th anniversary of Sberbank in West
Kazakhstan. I am sure that the strategic partnership which we outlined today will
have a benign effect on the entire region's economy, - said CEO of Sberbank
Oleg Smirnov.
Over 10 years of operations in Oral, the team of Sberbank's highly qualified
professionals have managed to subscribe 1,230 legal entities and around 5,000
individuals in the field of cash operations, 15,000 persons obtained plastic
cards.
Meanwhile, 2011 became a year of achievements for the branch. Based on
2011 results, the branch performed best across Kazakhstan in terms of personal
loans and loans for SME.
